Where are you located?
Our main office is in Smith County Texas. We have branches in Northwest Vermont and Lima Peru.

What do you mean by fair trade?
We pay the asking price if it is considered appropriate and reasonable. For example, you are a street vendor in Peru and want $20 for your art, we would probably buy it. Conversely, if you were unknown artist selling turquoise jewelry and are asking $500 for a piece, we probably won’t buy it unless it’s something very unique.

Why do you say you are a nonprofit?
All profits from the sale of our products are used to promote artists as well as art and music programs. In addition, we are an approved 501C(4) status. (from the tax code: A 501C (4) is a tax-exempt organization under the United States Internal Revenue Code. It is a social welfare organization that is not organized for profit but operated exclusively for the promotion of social welfare. This type of organization is exempt from federal income tax, but donations to it are not tax-deductible for the donor.)

How do you buy the art?
All of our purchases are done in person, so we can verify their authenticity. We will meet with you and then decide whether you are the artist in the work is fairly priced.

How do you pay the artists?
We pay the artist, asking price and then resell it with a markup to cover our operating expenses. The profit is then used to buy more art.

Do you buy from underage artists?
We do buy from underage artists, but you will need a parent or guardian with you at the time of purchase. Additionally, your parent or guardian will need to sign a release.

How do you protect underage artists?
We protect underage artist by only providing their first name and last initial and no photos of the person on the website.

What don’t you buy?
We don’t purchase any of the following: pornography, anything glorifying war or violence, anything that belittles or berates any gender, religion, sexual orientation, or country of origin. In addition, we do not buy any political work, any other items that are considered offensive or that use derogatory language.
